The short version. Poise has no account, no server and no analytics. Your voice is turned into text on your iPhone and never leaves it. We cannot see what you say, how often you practise, or how you score, because none of it is ever sent anywhere.
When you tap the microphone, audio is transcribed on-device using Apple’s built-in speech recognition. The audio is not recorded to a file, not uploaded, and not retained after your answer is scored. The transcript stays on your device and is discarded when you move on.
Your streak, mastery and earned phrases are stored in a file inside the app on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no backup on our side, because there is no our side.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, email, or payment details — only whether this device holds a valid purchase. Apple’s own privacy policy covers that transaction.
Poise is made for working adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age.
If this policy ever changes in a way that affects you, the updated version will appear here before the change takes effect.
